Tudor House by Tiny Heirloom

This whimsical English cottage style tiny home looks like it’s right out of a fairytale. Designed by Tiny Heirloom for a client that loves fantasy, the cottage features a Tudor exterior and a storybook interior with medieval castle bathroom.

The team gave the 200-square-foot house its Tudor style by using rough sawn exterior plywood paneling to imitate the stucco and dark painted cedar planks for the exposed wood support beams. A multi-gabled shingle roof with composite shakes, arched windows across the top, and two-panel mahogany front door with dragon door knocker complete the exterior.

Inside the Tudor home is a 90-square-foot living room with dark hickory flooring, custom hickory table with dark walnut stain, and library shelves. The main attraction is the corner gas fireplace with decorative mosaic tile and solid oak mantel.

The kitchen includes seven feet of royal purple cabinets, a granite countertop, hammered copper sink, and decorative mosaic backsplash that matches the fireplace.

A steel spiral staircase with oak treads and railing leads up to the 12-foot deep master loft. The loft has a two-foot pop-out for extra storage space and a half wall with custom bent twig railing.

Tiny Heirloom wanted to use slate for the bathroom walls to give it a medieval castle vibe, so to save weight and still get the same look they used lightweight slate panels with resin backing. There is also a copper clawfoot tub, a 2’x4′ pop-out with archway for the vanity, and a hand-glazed ceramic sink.
