Meet Perseverance, a remarkable tiny house crafted by the talented builders at Baluchon in France.
This cozy dwelling belongs to Estelle and Gaëtan, a couple with a vision for a tiny home that not only accommodates their current needs but also plans for a future that might include a child joining their household. Perseverance is a testament to their determination to create a space that is not only functional but also exceptionally secure.
One of the most intriguing features of Perseverance is the stretched net that separates the two sleeping areas. Installed between the two bedrooms, this net serves multiple purposes. Not only does it provide maximum security for the inhabitants, but it also functions as a unique relaxation area.
To access the second bedroom, you must traverse the first, creating a sense of connection and intimacy between the two sleeping spaces.
As you ascend to the first floor of this tiny house, you’ll encounter a beautifully designed staircase with floating steps. The first step cleverly doubles as storage for shoes, keeping the living area clutter-free.
Additionally, a small armchair slides neatly under the higher steps, optimizing space usage. An electric heater situated nearby ensures a cozy atmosphere during the winter months.
One of the standout features of Perseverance is its spacious kitchen. Despite the tiny house’s size, the kitchen boasts ample countertop space made of oak, making meal preparation a breeze.
Beneath the countertop, you’ll find a vegetable bowl, a vertical drawer for condiments, and a “large” fridge-freezer, along with various other storage spaces. This well-equipped kitchen proves that living tiny does not require sacrificing functionality.
A unique and multifunctional piece of furniture in Perseverance is the wardrobe, which extends into a dining area. Inside the wardrobe, two folding tables are neatly stored, capable of accommodating four people for a meal.
When the tables are folded away, the space becomes versatile, perfect for activities such as yoga or meditation, demonstrating the flexibility and adaptability of this tiny home.
In the bathroom of Perseverance, you’ll discover a pentagonal shower that maximizes space efficiency. To further reduce the environmental footprint, a dry toilet with a shavings compartment has been integrated into the design.
The bathroom is also equipped with multiple storage spaces, including shelves and large seagrass baskets, ensuring that every inch of space is utilized effectively.
What sets Perseverance apart from many other tiny houses is that it is a home where Estelle, Gaëtan, and even their beloved cat Mina reside year-round. Located in Loire-Atlantique, France, this tiny house is a testament to their commitment to simple, sustainable living, proving that with ingenuity and determination, one can create a space that not only meets their needs but also fulfills their dreams of a secure and cozy home.
Perseverance truly embodies the essence of tiny house living in France, showcasing a harmonious blend of functionality and elegance.
