The Malibu was built by Handcrafted Movement for a family of five moving from Germany to California. The family will be living in the tiny home while they build their permanent house.
The exterior of the 30-foot tiny home is all white board and batten siding and a galvanized metal roof. A sliding glass door leads into the home.
Inside the Malibu is an 8’x8′ downstairs bedroom with a California King bed and a built-in baby bed. The bedroom also has a built-in TV hutch with shelves.
The clients wanted extra storage space instead of room for a couch, so Handcrafted Movement provided them with an array of built-in storage cubbies, cabinets, and closets.
In the kitchen are oak countertops, a stainless steel 30″ four burner LP gas range, exterior vented hood fan with LED lighting, and 10 cu.ft. stainless steel refrigerator/freezer. Wide plank oak hardwood flooring was used throughout the main part of the home.
A large sleeping loft is accessed by storage stairs and has room for a queen size mattress.
In the bathroom is a 36″x36″ shower, incinerator toilet, and 48″ four drawer vanity with sink.
The home is heated and cooled with electric wall heaters and an 8,000 BTU air conditioner with smart phone capabilities.
The Malibu was sold for $76,000. For more pictures and information about the Malibu, please visit Handcrafted Movement.
