San Francisco couple Maren Engh and Max Jallifier decided to stop paying $3,500 a month for their apartment and had a custom tiny house built by Mint Tiny House Company. The couple spent $80,000 for the tiny house, including $15,000 worth of solar panels so they could live off-grid.
The exterior has dark siding with white trim while the interior is the opposite with white washed knotty pine walls and dark wood accents.
Large windows and French doors give the couple a scenic view of their new location in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The kitchen is complete with full size stainless steel appliances and a double farm sink.
The tiny house has a king size bedroom loft and a second loft that is used as a Moroccan-themed lounge area, complete with a widescreen TV.
