European tiny house builder Vagabond Haven introduces Elise, a Japanese-inspired tiny home crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on maximizing space. Elise offers a serene and open atmosphere that defies its diminutive footprint.
Design and Dimensions
The exterior features a choice of siding options, including Spruce, ThermoWood, or Shou sugi ban, exuding both durability and aesthetic appeal.
Its well-insulated 2-pane windows and tempered glass exterior door ensure energy efficiency while allowing ample natural light to flood the interior. Topping it off is a lightweight and durable aluminum roof, ensuring protection from the elements year-round.
Elise boasts dimensions that belie its spacious interior. With a length of 7.3 meters, a width of 2.55 meters, and a height of 4 meters, this tiny house stands tall among its peers. Built on a lightweight trailer with a weight capacity of up to 3.5 tons, Elise is designed for mobility without compromising on comfort.
Spacious Interiors
Step inside Elise, and you’re greeted by a surprisingly roomy living area spanning 25 square meters (~269 square feet). The generous room height of 3.26 meters creates an airy ambiance, enhancing the sense of space and freedom.
One of Elise’s standout features is its two spacious lofts, providing ample sleeping or storage space for occupants. The use of spruce paneling for the siding and laminate flooring on the ground floor, coupled with spruce flooring in the lofts, adds a touch of natural elegance to the interior.
Functional Kitchen and Luxurious Bathroom
Despite its compact size, Elise doesn’t compromise on essential amenities. The kitchen is equipped with lower and upper cabinets made of veneer or MDF, complemented by an oak plank countertop. It features a sink, tap, electric or gas stove, induction or gas cooktop, large fridge, and even a dishwasher. The inclusion of a corner cabinet with shelves maximizes storage space, while a protective glass panel adds a touch of sophistication.
The bathroom in Elise is a haven of comfort and functionality. Featuring wet-room approved walls, a shower cabin from glass, and a range of toilet options including flush, composting, or incinerating toilets, it caters to diverse preferences.
The inclusion of a cupboard with a washing basin, an infrared or regular mirror, and provisions for a washing machine further enhance convenience.
Heating, Electricity, Plumbing, and Ventilation
Elise offers various heating options to suit different needs, whether on-grid or off-grid. From electric radiators to infrared floor heating, air-to-air heat pumps, wood stoves, or pellet stoves, occupants can stay cozy year-round.
The tiny house comes equipped with robust electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems, ensuring seamless functionality. With options for 3-phase, 400V, 32A or 16A electricity supply, country-specific adjustments, and ceiling-mounted LED or spotlights with dimmers, Elise offers modern living amenities in a compact package. Easy exterior plumbing connections, energy-saving hot water heaters, and efficient ventilation systems complete the picture of convenience and comfort.
