Built by Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Wind River Built, the Kubrick offers a minimalist design with clean lines and a bold, black exterior.
The tiny home is 24-feet long and clad in specially milled tongue-and-groove exterior cedar siding. Black aluminum clad wood windows, black french doors, and a black standing seam metal roof finish the sleek exterior.
Inside the Kubrick are finish grade wood panels on the walls and ceiling. The visible gaps between the panels allow them to “float” while in transit, plus they add a visual element to the finish. Other finishes include white oak stair treads, custom loft railing, and a herringbone wood floor.
In the living room is a couch with built-in cabinets to the side and top. Between the living room and kitchen is a Cubic Mini wood stove.
The kitchen features concrete countertops, a Summit propane range with hood vent, undermount stainless sink with gooseneck faucet, and stainless refrigerator. There is also a custom pull-out wine rack under the storage stairs.
The Kubrick has a built-in hybrid solar power system. The lights, fans, pumps, and refrigerator are on solar while the air conditioner and larger appliances are dependent on shore power.
The bathroom includes a subway tile shower with Delta trim kit, wall-mounted sink, and Kohler mirror cabinet.
