With its unique roofline and detailed woodwork throughout, the Shark Ark by Humble + Handcraft is a beautiful work of art that blends sustainable building practices with masterful craftsmanship.
The Ojai, California-based company used reclaimed old growth redwood, rescued from a 10,000 gallon water tank in Santa Cruz, for the French doors and wall paneling.
Along with the redwood paneling, the interior includes cedar ceilings, twice reclaimed cotton mill flooring, and tile made by local artists.
The living room is equipped with a small wood stove, coffee table, and a day bed with large slide out drawers. Closet space is available under the stairs.
The bathtub, bathroom sink, and basin kitchen sink are copper. Metal light switched and outlet plates add to the old world style finishes. The pocket door has a stained glass insert, redwood panels, and a cedar frame.
Outside, a 5′ x 8′ cedar and aluminum patio slides under the chassis for travel.
