Colorado couple Tim and Amber wanted to downsize from their 1,200-square-foot condo so they could have more family time with their four-year-old daughter, Penny. Their 310-square-foot tiny house was featured in Season 4, Episode 22 of Tiny House Nation and built by The Tiny Home Co. and the Tiny House Nation team.
Named after their daughter, Penny’s Tiny Playhouse has a contemporary modern aesthetic with broken up roofline and glass French doors.
The oversized single loft works as a bedroom and playroom for Penny and the parents have a queen trundle bed that pulls out from under the raised living room platform.
The tiny house was built using Volstrukt galvanized steel framing, beetle kill pine wood paneling for the walls, and a white painted ceiling.
A small but functional galley kitchen includes modern appliances and a washer/dryer combo. A pantry pocket door with storage on both sides provides shelving to both the kitchen and bathroom.
The full size bathroom comes with a large soaking tub and wood grain tile surround.
