Located in Austin, Texas is the 224-square-foot Modern Dwelling by Kanga Room Systems. The tiny house is being used as a guesthouse for visitors and as a short-term rental during the tourist seasons.
The modern exterior uses fiber cement lap siding with wood accents and a Galvalume roof.
Inside the 14’x16′ house is a pine tongue-and-groove ceiling, birch plywood walls, and carbonized bamboo flooring.
The main floor bed is set in a nook so even though it isn’t a private bedroom, it still adds separation from the rest of the house.
The kitchen features white cabinets, maple butcher block countertops, and a stainless steel sink.
Kanga Room Systems has their Kanga Cabins, which are designed to be placed in the country, and their Kanga Dwells, which are built for the city with site building inspections. You can view more information on their website.
