With its sliding roof, the Head in the Stars offers a unique tiny house experience. Built by France’s Optinid, this tiny home gives you the chance to sleep under the stars from the comfort of your own bed.
The tiny home is built on a 7.2m trailer with a small covered entryway and terrace. The exterior is clad in spruce siding with painted poplar plywood trim.
The off-grid home includes two 550W photovoltaic panels, two gel batteries, and a 230V converter. There is also a 200L rainwater catchment system with filter and pump, as well as a gas heater and hot water heater.
On the main floor of the Head in the Stars (La Tête dans les étoiles) is a lounge area, a storage unit that doubles as an office space with folding table, and a folding dining table with seating for three.
The kitchen is outfitted with a gas stove, sink, and small refrigerator.
At the rear of the home is the bathroom with its 70x70cm shower with glass door, wall mounted corner sink and shelf, and a dry toilet with privacy door.
The bedroom loft is accessed by a step ladder with handrail. You can then unlock the roof and slide half of it open to enjoy the stars or good weather.
