The Urban Cabin was built by Dave Bates at Portable Cedar Cabins. The 14’x28′ cabin has a modern finish with rustic accents and full light French doors.
Inside the Urban Cabin, Dave used 6″ tongue-and-groove pine walls painted white and beetle kill pine for the ceiling. The beetle kill pine is also used as trim around the windows and doors.
Two large picture windows in the living room provide a great view of the surroundings.
The kitchen is outfitted with a freestanding range, full size refrigerator, and recycled glass counters. Above the kitchen is a large shelf that spans the width of the cabin, providing lots of extra storage space.
On the main floor is a small room that the owners turned into a nursery. Above the nursery and bathroom is the master bedroom loft, which is accessed by stairs with storage space underneath.
