After building a full size house, Shannon Black decided to use his experience to build himself a 26′ tiny house. The result was this beautifully designed 300-square-foot house with high end finishes throughout.
The exterior combines cedar siding with sky blue metal accent pieces, which matches the roof. Dark trim around the windows and corners add an extra design element.
Shannon used white tongue and groove pine interior walls and ceiling with dark wood trim and vinyl plank flooring.
In the kitchen you’ll find 14′ of Quartz countertops, a quarry stone backsplash, and Frigidaire stainless appliances. There is also a top of the line on-demand propane hot water heater and LED lighting throughout.
The bedroom loft is 11′ deep and accommodates a queen size bed, plus there is a 5′ deep loft for storage or a child’s room. There is also a couch with built-in storage that converts into a queen bed.
The 40-square-foot bathroom is completely lined with cedar, giving it a sauna theme and smell. Also in the bathroom is a 36″x36″ shower, washer/dryer hook ups, a 24″ vanity, and a dual flush toilet.
Shannon Black now builds tiny houses through his company, Big Freedom Tiny Homes, in Bellingham, Washington.
