Located in Eastern Ontario’s beautiful Tay Valley, the Mica offers guests an off-grid retreat surrounded by wilderness. The tiny cabin is available for nightly rental through Cabinscape.
With its picture-perfect location overlooking Mill’s Lake, the Mica provides easy access to hiking trails along the Rideau Valley Trail system, fishing, canoeing, and swimming. You can enjoy the evening sunsets from the west-facing deck.
The tiny cabin has rustic, minimalist finishes with an open concept that can accommodate up to four guests. There is a main floor double bed and queen size bedroom loft.
Even though the cabin is off-grid, there are still modern appliances and solar power. Appliances include a four burner gas stovetop, mini refrigerator/freezer, and propane BBQ. An indoor/outdoor bar is great for serving meals on the deck.
There is an indoor washroom with composting toilet and an outdoor shower.
The Mica is a 15-minute drive from Perth, Ontario where you can find grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, Saturday farmers’ markets, and several entertainment options.
Rates start at $199 CAD per night. You can check availability and book through the Cabinscape website.
