Built by Walt Quade, owner of Small Home Oregon in Portland, Lilypad is a 24′ tiny house with a copper-colored metal roof and cedar shingle siding. A total 248 square feet of space is split between the main floor and two lofts.
Dual storage staircases provide plenty of storage space. The tiny house weighs approximately 8,000 lbs and sits on a 10,000 lbs rated Iron Eagle trailer.
The Lilypad is built for both on-grid and off-grid settings. Off-grid features include: solar panels, composting toilet, wood heat, denatured alcohol cook stove and a rainwater catchment system.
Total cost to build was approximately $30,000 not including appliances, décor, solar, and off-grid systems.
