The Kauri is a three bedroom tiny home built by Tiny House Builders in New Zealand. The home was built for a family of six and has a main floor bedroom and two bedroom lofts.
The exterior is clad in two-tone corrugated metal and a single slope metal roof. With a focus on sleeping accommodations, the home relies on extending the living space outside. The sliding front door is located over the drawbar and will be covered by a large deck (see the video tour).
As you enter the tiny home you’ll step into the kitchen, which includes a dishwasher drawer, oven, microwave, sink, and upper and lower cabinets. A small refrigerator will sit on the counter above the washing machine.
In the hallway is a large storage unit across from the bathroom. In the bathroom is a 900x900mm corner shower, vanity, and flush toilet.
At the end of the house is the main floor master bedroom. In the bedroom is a freestanding wardrobe and room for a queen bed. A single set of stairs leads up to two lofts, each with two single beds for the kids. In the middle of the two lofts is a swivel TV and closet space. The stairs and lofts are carpeted.
