This 280-square-foot tiny house is ready for off-grid living with its solar panel system, 50-gallon fresh water tank, propane appliances, and a composting toilet.
The tiny house, built in 2016, has all cedar siding, a cedar porch, and a metal roof. Spray foam insulation was used in the ceiling, walls, and floor, giving it an R-21 insulation value.
A Morso wood stove and Ashley direct vent propane heater keep the place warm in the winter. The 1000 watt solar panel system includes:
- (4) 250 watt panels
- Solar controller
- Battery charger
- 2000 watt inverter with wall mounted readout
- Shore power automatic transfer switch
- (4) deep cycle batteries
There are two lofts and a downstairs bedroom with closet space.
The kitchen is equipped with a four burner propane stove and oven, refrigerator, pantry, and granite countertops.
The bathroom includes a corner shower, sink, and Separett composting toilet.
