With its multifunctional island in the kitchen and entertainment center in the living room, the Blue Heron by Blue Sky Tiny Homes provides clever ways to make good use of its tiny space. The Blue Heron is 10-feet wide by 28-feet long and offers a total of 400-square-feet between the main floor and two bedroom lofts.
The exterior is a combination of engineered and natural cedar siding. There is a variety of casement, picture, and awning windows used throughout the house.
Inside the Blue Heron are laminate floors, shiplap walls, and a bead board ceiling.
The kitchen features a five burner gas cooktop with venting hood, convection oven/microwave combo, apartment size refrigerator, and drawer dishwasher. There are upper and lower cabinets and a tile backsplash.
A butcher block island provides a prep area when cooking, plus it can be used as a bar-height table or convert to a dining table. To convert to a dining table you open the safety switches, then lower it down. When it is lowered down there are two bench seats, each with storage space underneath.
In the living room is a multifunctional center that serves as the entertainment center, storage, closets, and desk. The couch converts to a queen bed and there are exposed beams under the loft that sits above the living room.
The bathroom includes a 24″ white vanity, 48″x36″ walk-in shower with seat, and custom built sliding barn door. Also in the bathroom is the laundry area with washer/dryer combo, built-in hamper, and cabinet with folding table.
There are two lofts, one with storage stair access and the other with an attic style ladder. Each loft has built-in shelving and a headboard. One loft can accommodate a king size mattress and the other fits a queen size mattress.
