From Asheville-based Red Crown Tiny Homes is the Balsam, a 24-foot tiny home on wheels. The home is available for nightly rental at the Acony Bell Tiny Home Village.
The 296-square-foot home was built on an 8.5’x24′ trailer. The exterior is a combination of board and batten siding with natural wood siding accents. The entryway has a fold down deck and awning.
A 9,000 BTU mini-split system provides efficient heating and cooling and an electric tankless water heater provides hot water on demand.
Custom cabinetry and woodworking were used throughout the Balsam. There is a custom built front door with window, a fold down walnut live edge table, and ladders with walnut and maple. There are also custom fabricated welded railings.
The kitchen includes granite countertops, an undermount sink, a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster oven.
The Balsam can accommodate up to four people with its two lofts and futon. One loft has a queen size bed and the other has a twin bed.
In the bathroom is a Toto wall mount toilet with dual flushing options and a shower.
